How to travel in style

How to travel in style
In a couple of hours I'll be on my way to Rome with my classmates. Actually I should probably go to sleep now instead of sitting in front of my computer since I have to get up pretty early tomorrow (in 4 hours to be more precisely). However I don't think that I can fall asleep anyways now, so I can just blog instead. When we come back from Rome I'll be traveling to Amsterdam with my mom. I have never been in Amsterdam before so I'm pretty excited to see the city. We will actually stay in a apartment from Airbnb so we in that way can experience the Amsterdam peoples style and culture more.
Anyways when I'm traveling (be airplane of course) I love to look as stylish as possible. By that I don't mean wearing dresses and heels. Even though I once wore my black high heeled ankle boot and feel every beautiful while going with my suitcase through the airport. Afterward my feet were screaming in pain but I think it was worth it.

Here are some tips on how to look super stylish while traveling and some airport style inspiration.
Psst... today I'll be wearing my Adidas Superstars, white skinny jeans, a denim jacket, a t-shirt from Zara as well as my oversized scarf, sunglasses and a black handbag.

My top 6 airplane style tips:

Don't fly without an oversized scarf

Never say never to skinny jeans

Avoid jewelry - wear a classic watch instead

Keep your look simple

Hide tired eyes under with sunglasses

Bring a big but chic leather handbag for all of your essentials

Have a great day and a wonderful week.

Insta month #3

I can't believe it's already May! I've been waiting on this month for so long. Soon I'll be flying to Rome and later Amsterdam, attending birthday parties and going to different events. May is always a busy month for me; I have to prepare myself for my exams, always a lot of travel and ballet and violin shows.
But if I have to be honest with you, April was pretty busy and stressful to.
After I came back from Italy I found out that unfortunately my grandpa passed away. Since my family lives in another country we flew to his funeral. Before that I managed to go to the hairdresser so I could get some highlights. After we came home and I started school again I had so much homework. Every day I stayed up till late night and did homework so I could keep up with my classmates. That's why I didn't blog much in April.
Later in my mom had some work in Washington so of course she got me the newest issue of the American Vogue which I of course read instead of doing my homework.

So that's pretty much what I've been up to in April.

Have a lovely weekend...

The best hand creams

I have a serious problem: I can't (and by that I mean I really really really can't) survive one day without hand cream. My hands get extremely dry especially if I wash them… and when I basically wash my hands all the time you can figure out that I also need my hand cream all the time.
As much as I need my hand cream I love to try out new hand creams so you can pretty much call me a hand cream expert. No, I'm just kidding (not really).
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of hand creams that actually works and leave my hand soft and moisturized. Here are my all time 4 favourite hand creams.

Korres - Moisturizing hand cream with organic Almond oil & Calendula
I'm going to be honest with you. My friends say that it smells even through they always want to borrow some when I have it with me. I myself like the smell pretty much. It's nice but kind of special - definitely not for everyone. Besides that the hand cream is perfect, both the consistency and the result that I get after using the Korres hand cream.
Sephora - $14.50

The undercut obsession

Normally I'm not the biggest fan of short hair also I was not a big fan of the popular sidecut hairstyle. However when I saw Rosamunde Pike at the Oscars 2015 red carpet at the I instantly fell in love with the undercut (to be more precisely her undercut).
I love the different ways you can style an undercut and also the fact than when you wear your hair down you can barely see it. In my opinion Rosamunde's hair is perfect but in a original way. Also I admire the way she can wear such a punk hairstyle and yet look so glamorous, elegant and girly.

1 dress - 3 outfits

Oh yes... I'm feeling SO pretty right now - sitting in front of my desk with my wannabe Harvard sweatshirt and yoga pant while easting homemade cream brûlée (btw it's ridiculously good). The thing I'm going to write about now is yet a little more glamorous.
In April-May-June I always have a lot of parties whenever it's at school, birthday parties or confirmations. Im always having the same problem - I stand in front of my closet wondering what to wear?
I usually don't have the money to buy a bunch of new dresses for every occasion but I wouldn't either never ever wear the same dress as I wore last year… so what to do?
The solution: buy 1 inexpensive dress and dress it up or down depending on the occasion.
Below I have 3 examples on 3 different outfits with one the same dress.

Birthday party
This style is defiantly the most casual of the 3 outfits. I've chosen to style the dress with a super adorable furry crossover bag to make the outfit more fun. Also I added cute pastel brogues to dress it down a little.
Dress: Warehouse
Shoes: H&M
Bag: Topshop
Ring: Topshop

My top saving tips for broke teenagers

Money, money, money
Must be funny in the rich man's world
Money, money, money
Always sunny in the rich man's world
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It's a rich mans world

Raise your hand if you sometimes(always) don't have enough money to buy your dream Mulberry bag, some lovely Acne jeans or just clothes. People say that money can't buy you happiness (and they are right), but the can for sure buy you a new pair of gorgeous stilettos, which for me is the same.

And trust me I know how it feels to be a poor teenager always dreaming about more money. Therefore I've selected my top tips on how you can save your money and use them on something great - like a new bag.

Pretty in pink

I will get straight to the point - pink is my favourite color. Every Wednesday I do my best and try to remember to put on something pink (Yes, I'm a big fan of Mean Girls). Although where I live everybody is super mainstream with their black turtlenecks and white Nike Air Force (or Adidas superstars) so sometimes I feel like a total outsider while wearing my hot pink shirt or weird printed pants.
Besides that it's still my absolute most beloved color especially in the spring and summer time when it's more likely for my friends to sometimes put on something else than black and white.

Therefore I decided to show you some of my currently favorites from my little collection of pink things.

Music crush: Ella Eyre

It's no secret that I have a big passion about music - I simply love it and can't function without it. I once found an quote on Tumbler that said "headphones in problems out". And it's SO true! Whenever I'm all sad and gloomy I instantly get in a better mood when I listen to one of my good-vibes-only playlist on Spotify. The music just makes my wanna dance, sing and just basically act like I'm in a musical.
In the moment I have a huge music crush on the lovely Ella Eyre, who is (if you don't already know) a British singer and songwriter. You need to listen to her new amazing song "Together" from her new album "Feline" which will come out in less than a month. Now you know what I'm going to buy very soon.
She is best known for single "Waiting all night" with Rudimetal and "Gravity" with DJ Fresh. But all of her songs are super catchy and she have a unique voice I can't get enough of.
Beside of Ella's music let's just take a moment and look at her hair - it's simply gorgeous and perfect.
